About The Position

The Anodizer is responsible for processing material through the anodize line using overhead cranes efficiently and with minimal supervision. This role involves understanding and operating all tank procedures, maintaining process tank temperatures, managing running charts for anodize tanks, following special running instructions, ensuring proper rinse procedures, and adhering to seal times and tanks for various finishes. The Anodizer will also be responsible for maintaining required paperwork and process logs, cleaning anodize and etch tanks, and ensuring the proper care and safe use of all tools and equipment. Additionally, the Anodizer will report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to the Supervisor, keep the work area clean, and perform other departmental functions such as racking, un-racking, and oven operation, while abiding by all safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

Proficiency in operating overhead cranes.
Understanding of all tank procedures, process tank temperatures, running charts, special running instructions, proper rinse procedures, and seal times/tanks for different finishes.
Ability to maintain required paperwork and process logs.
Knowledge of proper care, safe and proper use of all tools, equipment and material.
Ability to report unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor.
Ability to keep work area clean.
Willingness to perform other functions such as racking, un-racking, and oven operation.
Adherence to all safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Processes material through the anodize line by efficient use of overhead cranes, with minimum supervision.
Produces on going line efficiency through timing of customer loads against maximizing process tank usage.
Understands and is proficient in the operation of all tank procedures, process tank temperatures, running charts for # 1 & # 2 anodize tanks, special running instructions, proper rinse procedures, seal times and tanks for different finishes.
Maintains required paperwork and process logs.
Cleans anodize and etch tanks in his/her charge per specified schedule.
Responsible for proper care, safe and proper use of all tools, equipment and material used in the performance of required duties.
Reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to Supervisor.
Keeps work area clean.
Performs other functions in the department, such as racking, un-racking, and oven operation.
Abides by all safety rules and regulations outlined in company policies.
