About The Position

The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a dedicated part-time Transport Driver to join our team. This position will report to our state-of-the-art Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus working a schedule of Friday - Tuesday 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM OR Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM. As a Transport Driver, you are an integral part of shelter operations and are responsible for safely and thoughtfully transporting animals to and from off-site adoption locations, shelter facilities, and media/adoption events. You will help determine the movement of adoptable animals while ensuring the behavioral and medical criteria of each location and kennel is met. You will provide additional assistance to shelter personnel as needed, including but not limited to transportation of animals to non-AHS facilities, delivery of mail, and delivery of supplies.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid Arizona driver's license
• Must be 21 years of age
• One year of prior work experience
• Candidates must have an acceptable driving record and ability to pass drug and background screening to be insured as an AHS driver.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with animal handling is preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities
