About The Position

The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a dedicated part-time Transport Driver to join our team. This position will report to our state-of-the-art Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus working a schedule of Friday - Tuesday 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM OR Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Requirements

• High school diploma/GED
• Valid Arizona driver's license
• Must be 21 years of age
• One year of prior work experience
• Candidates must have an acceptable driving record and ability to pass drug and background screening to be insured as an AHS driver.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with animal handling is preferred
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Safely and thoughtfully transporting animals to and from off-site adoption locations, shelter facilities, and media/adoption events.
• Help determine the movement of adoptable animals while ensuring the behavioral and medical criteria of each location and kennel is met.
• Provide additional assistance to shelter personnel as needed, including but not limited to transportation of animals to non-AHS facilities, delivery of mail, and delivery of supplies.
