Animal Technician I - Cage Wash
About The Position
This role is responsible for processing both clean and dirty cages, providing daily maintenance of equipment (washers and sterilizers), including performance tests, and maintaining records of preventive maintenance tasks. The position also involves providing input for Cage Wash SOPs, performing housekeeping duties in assigned areas, assisting the supervisor with new supply and equipment deliveries & distribution, adhering to the cage wash facility traffic flow (clean versus dirty), and assisting with rack disassembling and other heavy equipment transportation. Although the title is Animal Technician, there will be no animal care work involved in this role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Nice To Haves
- Some laboratory/animal husbandry experience with mice and rats.
- Experience operating cage washers and autoclaves.
