About The Position
If you have a genuine love for animals, The Sampson County Animal Shelter offers a new opportunity to assist with the receipt, care, and adoption of unclaimed and rescued animals. Working in a brand new facility with a caring staff, the ideal candidate will provide quality animal care in a team environment to provide positive outcomes. This position requires professional interactions with the public and hands-on care of animals and their environment, as well as assisting with the maintenance of the facility and grounds.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid NC driver's license
- Ability to work alternating weekends and some holidays
- Physical dexterity
- Ability to lift and safely handle animals
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- US citizen, or legal alien authorized to maintain employment in the United States
Responsibilities
- Assist with the receipt, care, and adoption of unclaimed and rescued animals.
