About The Position
The Sampson County Animal Shelter offers a new opportunity to assist with the receipt, care, and adoption of unclaimed and rescued animals. Working in a brand new facility with a caring staff, the ideal candidate will provide quality animal care in a team environment to provide positive outcomes. This position requires professional interactions with the public and hands-on care of animals and their environment, as well as assisting with the maintenance of the facility and grounds. Physical dexterity, ability to lift and safely handle animals, and work with limited supervision are minimal expectations.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Valid NC driver's license
- Ability to work alternating weekends and some holidays.
- Physical dexterity
- Ability to lift and safely handle animals
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- US citizen, or legal alien authorized to maintain employment in the United States.
