The Animal Protection Officer enforces applicable state laws, county resolutions, and town ordinances involving animals. He/she initiates and completes reports, investigations, summonses and case files as needed to reach a disposition on animal related incidents. He/she may need to perform any other duties as assigned by the Animal Protection Supervisor or other sworn supervisor. New employees receive an 80-hour bank of vacation at the time of hire , in addition to 8 hours of both vacation and medical leave accruals each month.
