Each team member is responsible for overseeing the daily function and flow of the hospital as it pertains to their department. Requirements

Must be highly energetic and positive.
Must have attention to detail.
Must be neat and organized.
Must be able to remain calm in emergencies.
Must be able to show empathy.
Great communication skills are a must.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and some holidays.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be able to properly lift 40 pounds when necessary.
Must be able to stand for periods of time.
Experience as a Vet Tech/Assistant is required.

Nice To Haves

Interest in working with animals participating in rehab.
Willingness to be trained in specialized rehabilitation skills.

Responsibilities

Take patient history and assist the veterinarian in the exam room.
Present treatment plans and educate clients on follow-up care and medication administration.
Assist in surgery.
Perform in-house lab testing and prepare samples for outside testing.
Perform dental cleanings.
Care for hospitalized patients and perform their treatments.
Cross-train in all areas of the practice.
Assist with animal rehabilitation treatments, including water treadmills, laser therapy, acupuncture, and holistic medications (training provided).
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Uphold all hospital policies and procedures.
Lead by example and maintain a positive attitude.
