About The Position

Join the JAX Animal Care team and be part of a mission to improve human health worldwide. This is a full-time position that offers a dynamic and supportive work environment. New team members undergo a 12-week paid training program with classroom and on-the-job training. Learn all aspects of mouse husbandry and animal science and genetics. Employees will learn to maintain JAX mice and monitor animal health and welfare. Maintain a sanitary environment. Prepare animals for shipping. Accurately record detailed and organized data.

Requirements

• Minimum of HS diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience.
• Successful completion of references, background check and pre-employment physical.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Basic knowledge of computer skills preferred.
• Successful completion of Primary Animal Care Training and successful completion of the 90-day introductory period is required for advancement.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
• Open availability, including weekends and holidays may be required.
• OT is required as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Background in Warehouse, Food Service, Retail/ Customer Service, OR Healthcare.
