Animal Care Technicians provide loving care for pets staying and playing at Best Friends Pet Hotel, with a focus on safety, comfort, and cleanliness. The role includes caring for boarding guests, maintaining their accommodations and shared areas, and providing customer service to human and pet guests. Requirements

Love of animals.
Professional manner at all times.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds or more.
Ability to stand and walk for eight hours a day.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and use a computer system.
Ability to handle dogs on leashes and work around disinfectant and sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and animal excretions.
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least one year of professional animal experience.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain pet suites, condos, general boarding areas, and the kitchen.
Feed and water pet guests, and administer medication according to instructions.
Monitor each pet and accurately chart consumption and elimination, reporting concerns to management.
Monitor pet belongings and perform laundry duties.
Provide individual care for boarding guests and perform activities as scheduled.
Welcome human and pet guests, check pets in and out, and provide excellent customer service.
Escort pets to and from their rooms and follow safe handling procedures.
Identify animal body language and behavior.
Sanitize and disinfect pet suites, condos, and general boarding areas.
Communicate with management and team members, work individually and as part of a team, and assist other associates with duties as needed.
