About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Counselor to provide exceptional daily care for animals and ensure their physical and emotional needs are met. The role includes feeding, walking, cleaning kennels, engaging animals in individual and group play, and maintaining precise records of their temperaments, preferences, health, behavior, and daily care. The ideal candidate loves animals, understands safe handling procedures, and can work both independently and collaboratively.
Requirements
- Familiarity with safe animal handling procedures and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High level of punctuality.

- Dependable personal transportation.

- Prior experience working with animals, professionally or as a volunteer.
Responsibilities
- Meet the physical and emotional needs of animals, including feeding, administering medication, and keeping them comfortable.
- Walk, play with, and socialize animals to keep them happy and active.
- Deep-clean kennels, play spaces, and work areas multiple times daily to maintain a safe, sanitary environment.
- Wash bedding, sanitize toys, and keep supplies organized.
- Warmly greet and assist clients, visitors, and pet parents.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of animals’ behaviors, health, and daily activities.
