Requirements
- Any combination of education and experience which would likely produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with insurable driving record
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care for a diverse collection of birds, reptiles and mammals
- Provide primary care and rehabilitation to sea turtles and marine mammals
- Participate in the medical care and conditioning of our collection animals and rehabilitation patients.
- Participate in the daily opening and closing procedures, maintenance of our main campus exhibits and rehabilitation areas.
- Assist in the preparation of food according to established procedure.
- Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of utensils and equipment used to feed and care for animals.
- Assist in facility maintenance of the animal areas.
- Perform water quality duties.
- Enter Data into TRACKS.
- Complete animal behavioral observations and report abnormalities to supervisor.
- Adhere to all governmental/AZA policies regarding acquisition, husbandry, records, and animal health.
