Per Diem Specialist Angioplasty- Cardiac Cath Laboratory – Hudson Valley
About The Position
The Angioplasty Specialist functions as an integral part of the Interventional Cardiology Team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. The specialist assists Cardiac Catheterization Physicians during pre-procedure, diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, and post-procedure management. The role follows professional standards established by the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and applicable policies and procedures. After completing orientation, the specialist is responsible for on-call shifts. This is a per diem position at the hospital in Cortlandt Manor, New York, and requires on-site presence.
Requirements
- Appropriate education, as determined by the Medical Director of Interventional Cardiology.
- Excellent clinical judgment and the ability to apply new concepts and skills in invasive cardiology.
- Responsibility for own professional development.
- Knowledge of interventional cardiology, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiovascular anatomy, and physiology.
Nice To Haves
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS).
- Critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist Cardiac Catheterization Physicians in pre-procedure, diagnostic, and interventional cardiology procedures.
- Assist with post-procedure management.
- Practice according to Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory standards and applicable policies and procedures.
- Complete required on-call shifts after orientation.
