About The Position

The Angiography Tech I supports cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures by operating specialized imaging equipment to capture vascular images. The role includes preparing patients, equipment, and supplies; collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams; and providing imaging support for diagnosis and treatment planning. Patient safety and comfort, radiation safety, and infection control are central to the position. The job involves day-shift coverage and some on-call/callback coverage as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Familiarity with angiographic imaging equipment and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a cardiovascular or interventional radiology setting.
• Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CI) or equivalent.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain angiographic imaging equipment and supplies before procedures.
• Position patients and assist with the administration of contrast media under physician supervision.
• Operate fluoroscopic and digital imaging systems to capture high-quality vascular images.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes during procedures.
• Follow radiation safety standards and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate efficient workflow.
• Accurately document procedure details and maintain patient records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment.
