About The Position

As our Angio Tech Lead, you will operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical angiography procedures. Every day you will provide patient orientation, explain procedures, and deliver pre and post-diagnostic care until test completion. This includes positioning patients, calibrating equipment, and meticulously documenting findings. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate technical proficiency in angiography, strong attention to detail for equipment operation and documentation, and excellent patient communication skills to ensure comprehensive diagnostic imaging tests. Supervisory and leadership skills needed to mentor other technologists.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience
  • BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association, upon hire
  • Registered as a Radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R), upon hire
  • Licensed as a Medical Radiographer through the Texas Board of Medicine, upon hire
  • Registered Technologist Vascular Inteventional Rad, within 24 months or Registered Technologist Cardio Interventional Radiography, within 24 months

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of Angio equipment.
  • Knowledge of Angio examinations as well as procedures that require the use of contrast agents.

Responsibilities

  • Operate diagnostic equipment and perform a variety of technical angiography procedures.
  • Provide patient orientation, explain procedures, and deliver pre and post-diagnostic care until test completion.
  • Position patients, calibrate equipment, and meticulously document findings.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency in angiography, strong attention to detail for equipment operation and documentation, and excellent patient communication skills.
  • Mentor other technologists.
  • Manage patients during complex Angio procedures exams such biopsies, drainages, etc.
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization.
  • Practice the ALARA (As low as reasonably achievable) standards when performing exams.
  • Utilize patient transfer and positioning techniques.
  • Handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate ethical and professional conduct.
  • Provide general oversight of inventory, scheduling staff and managing board/schedule.
