About The Position
Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists is seeking a PRN Anesthesiologist to join the dynamic team at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. SMJH is a 176-bed hospital in charming, Charlottesville, Virginia. This position operates under a Care Team Model with approximately 70% of the time dedicated to individual cases. The role involves a call schedule of 1:14 with a post-call day off. Compensation is based on a shift-based model with flexibility and competitive pay. The location in Charlottesville offers a strong academic community, rich culture, historic attractions, diverse dining, and entertainment options. It is centrally located near the Blue Ridge Mountains, providing ample outdoor recreation. Charlottesville is described as a micro-urban community with excellent schools, making it an attractive place to practice medicine and raise a family. It is also conveniently located approximately 100 miles southwest of Washington D.C. and 70 miles northwest of Richmond, Virginia. Sentara provides market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $602,680.00 - $873,600.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. The posted annual salary is based on a full-time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
