About The Position

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is seeking highly talented adult and pediatric anesthesiologists to join our team. We provide anesthesia care at various UPMC hospitals throughout the vibrant Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area and Western and Central PA Pennsylvania. We are proud to be one of the one of the largest and leading departments of anesthesiology and perioperative medicine in the nation with a long legacy of excellence in research, clinical care, and academics. Our department manages approximately 300,000 cases annually, covering an average of over 200 anesthetizing sites per day at over 20 hospitals and surgery centers. We host two residency programs, 10 clinical subspecialty fellowship training programs, and two NIH T32 research training programs. Requirements

ABA board-eligible, certified, or equivalent.
Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.

Nice To Haves

Expertise in certain subspecialties and/or who work at specific hospital sites (for J-1 waivers).

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care at various UPMC hospitals.
Manage a broad variety of cases, including all major adult and pediatric subspecialty care.
Engage in innovative research projects.
Mentor the next generation of leaders in anesthesiology.
