About The Position
We are seeking three (3) Anesthesiologists for long-term federal contract positions at the Salem VA Health Care System in Salem, VA. This role involves providing anesthesia services primarily for outpatient cases, with a Monday-Friday daytime schedule. The contract is for 5 years, with an anticipated start date of September 21, 2026. The position is 1099, all-inclusive, with a pay rate of $410/hr. The department currently consists of one Anesthesiologist and five CRNAs, and the team is expanding.
Requirements
- Citizen of the United States
- Board Certified/Board Eligible by the ABA
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or DC
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Current DEA certificate and NPI
- Must meet VA credentialing, privileging, training, and background/security requirements
Responsibilities
- Medically direct CRNAs
- Personally perform anesthesia 30% of the time
