About The Position
We are seeking three (3) Anesthesiologists for long-term federal contract positions at the Salem VA Health Care System in Salem, VA. This role involves providing anesthesia services primarily for outpatient procedures, with a Monday-Friday daytime schedule and no anticipated call, weekend, or holiday coverage. The contract is for 5 years, with an anticipated start date of September 21, 2026. The compensation is $410 per hour on a 1099 basis, all-inclusive. The company, Wander Staffing, founded in 2018 by a retired Army Officer, is not a commercial staffing agency and does not impose non-compete clauses.
Requirements
- Citizen of the United States
- Board Certified/Board Eligible by the ABA
- Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or DC
- Current BLS and ACLS
- Current DEA certificate and NPI
- Must meet VA credentialing, privileging, training, and background/security requirements
Responsibilities
- Medically direct CRNAs
- Personally perform anesthesia approximately 30% of the time
