About The Position

Somnia Anesthesia, a physician-owned, clinician-led anesthesia group, is seeking Anesthesiologists to join our growing team at Orange County Global Medical Center in Santa Ana, CA. This is a 1099 contract position with a compensation of $15,125 weekly for 42 weeks of service and 10 weeks of unpaid time off (UTO), with an expected 55-hour work week. The practice environment is at Orange County Global Medical Center, a Safety Net Hospital with 4 ORs, 282 beds, a Level II Trauma Center, and a Level III NICU. The hospital handles approximately 6,980 total cases annually, including 1,142 OB cases, 1,500 Cath Lab cases, 579 GI Cases, and 1,050 IR Cases. The anesthesia team operates under a Care Team Model, currently consisting of 5 physicians and 8 CRNAs. This role is due to growth, and the team is established. Shifts available are 8, 10, and 12 hours. Trauma OR1 has 24/7 coverage, and OR2 has 8-10 hour shifts, with plans to add 2 new ORs. CRNAs manage non-trauma ORs and OB Call (24-hour). Anesthesiologists will also be responsible for OB 24-hour call, compensated at $4,500 per call.

Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia services at Orange County Global Medical Center.
Participate in OB 24-hour call.
Work within a Care Team Model.
Cover Trauma OR1 24/7.
Cover OR2 shifts.
Support a wide range of surgical services including Level II Trauma & Emergency Surgery, Advanced Cardiac & STEMI Cases, Obstetric, Maternal & Neonatal Care, Burn Center & Trauma Support, and General, Orthopedic, Vascular, ENT, and Urologic Procedures.
