About The Position

The Department of Anesthesiology at the Emory University School of Medicine is seeking board eligible/board certified anesthesiologists to join their Emory University Hospital Surgical Specialties team. This team exclusively staffs Emory University Hospital, a quaternary-care academic medical center that performs 25,000 anesthetic cases annually and is recognized as a leading hospital in areas such as solid organ transplants, cancer, and neurosurgery. As a faculty member, physicians will contribute to the tripartite mission by delivering high-quality clinical care, engaging in innovative research, and educating medical students, future anesthesiologists, and anesthetists. Emory's anesthesiology program is comprehensive, including 48 residents and 20 fellows in various ACGME and non-ACGME programs.

Requirements

M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
Eligible to apply for a medical license in the state of Georgia.
American Board of Anesthesiology board certified/eligible.

Nice To Haves

Experience with transplant anesthesia.
Experience with neuro anesthesia.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality clinical care.
Participate in innovative research.
Educate medical students, future anesthesiologists, and anesthetists.
Provide medical direction with a 1:2 or 1:3 ratio.
Fulfill full call responsibilities.
