About The Position

The Anesthesiologist will be responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures. This includes pre-anesthesia assessment, obtaining and verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia, monitoring the patient's physiological condition, and performing clinical interventions as needed. The role involves assisting in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department.

Requirements

• Current license to practice medicine in the state of New York.
• Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology.
• Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.

Responsibilities
