About The Position

Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) in Sydney, Nova Scotia, is seeking an Anesthesiologist for locum coverage during September and October, and in January for early winter. This position is available immediately for a candidate with Royal College of Canada certification and eligibility for a full license with the College of Physician Surgeons Nova Scotia. The successful applicant will join a team of 7 Anesthesiologists serving the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and surrounding communities, with a catchment area of over 150,000. There is an opportunity to engage in research or hold medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University. Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a 250-bed tertiary care institution providing a broad range of medical care to patients in the Eastern Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority. The Anesthesiology service is equipped to provide comprehensive specialized care.

Requirements

Royal College Canada certification
Eligible for full-license with College of Physician Surgeons Nova Scotia
Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
