About The Position

Sierra Medical Center, a regional leader in cardiac and neurological care for over 30 years, is seeking to expand its anesthesiology team. The position is based at a nationally recognized, 350-bed acute care facility serving El Paso and surrounding communities. The hospital utilizes an in-house billing, coding, and collections model to allow physicians to focus on patient care. This role offers the opportunity to practice at a high-acuity institution with a collaborative physician and CRNA team, specializing in anesthesiology with cardiac case capabilities.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Nice To Haves

• Cardiac fellowship preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia for patients, with a focus on cardiac cases.
• Collaborate with physicians and CRNAs in a team-based practice model.
• Manage an average of 10 patients per day.
• Participate in a call schedule of 5-6 days per month, with a post-call day off.
• Perform approximately 10% solo cases.
• Utilize Cerner EMR system.
