Anesthesiologist (Cardiac)

US Anesthesia Partners•Seattle, WA

About The Position

U.S. Anesthesia Partners (USAP) – Washington is seeking a cardiac anesthesiologist to join its physician-led team and provide care for advanced cardiothoracic and vascular procedures at Swedish Medical Center. Cardiac operating room cases include CABG, valve procedures, complex combinations, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, and LVAD implantation. The program also includes a nationally recognized Extra Corporeal Life Support (ECLS) program, high-volume structural heart and interventional cardiology services, and referral care for cardiogenic shock and ECLS. The cardiac team predominantly practices cardiac anesthesia. The broader anesthesia group also provides regional, thoracic, neuro, vascular, pediatric, general, and obstetric anesthesia at the First Hill and Cherry Hill campuses. Physicians collaborate with Swedish Medical Center teams and participate in monthly anesthesia and cardiovascular surgery M&M conferences, educational sessions, and weekly cardiovascular conferences. The group emphasizes practicing at the top of each physician’s license, caring for diverse patient populations, and flexibility to perform cases independently. Support includes knowledgeable anesthesia technicians, morning and lunch breaks, and additional assistance during emergencies. Estimated starting compensation for full-time work is $700,000–$750,000, with the option to reduce to a four-day work week and compensation adjusted to time worked. Pay is flexible and dependent on work, not on case type or medical insurance. The organization offers a mentorship program and a collegial, inclusive physician-led environment. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, long-term disability insurance, a 401(k) match, and quarterly profit-sharing.
