About The Position
Under direction of supervisor, assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures. This includes pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover. Responsibilities also include auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations, calibration of POC equipment, high-level sterilization procedures and documentation. The role also involves providing basic level equipment troubleshooting and ordering supplies via the Lawson Material Management System.
Requirements
- High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech or Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
- Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects.
