About The Position
The Anesthesia Technician will assist during pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative procedures within the Main Operating Room. This role involves setting up supplies and equipment, performing room turnover, auditing and stocking anesthesia supply stations, calibrating equipment, performing sterilization procedures, and basic equipment troubleshooting. The technician will also be responsible for ordering supplies using the Lawson Material Management System.
Requirements
- High school Diploma with 1 year experience as either an Anesthesia Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Emergency Medical Tech
- Associate’s Degree if no clinical experience
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology
- Ability to occasionally lift (patients and equipment), as well as push and/or pull heavy objects
Responsibilities
- Assist during pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative procedures
- Pre-operative, pre-procedure supply and equipment set-up and room turnover
- Auditing, stocking and maintenance of anesthesia supply stations
- Calibration of POC equipment
- High-level sterilization procedures and documentation
- Provide basic level equipment troubleshooting
- Order supplies via the Lawson Material Management System
