About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician - Operating Room position at FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport, IL is a full-time role responsible for supporting anesthesia providers during surgical procedures. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians certification within 2 years of employment
• CPR certification
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required, or obtained within 6 months of hire

• 1 – 2 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Set-up, operate and troubleshoot anesthesia machines, monitors, and ancillary devices
• Assist licensed anesthesia provider with routine and difficult procedures
• Prepare appropriate sterile supplies, sterile field, and have knowledge of medications
• Maintain, re-order, and re-stock anesthesia supplies and equipment
• Participate in efficient case turnovers, cleaning of anesthesia equipment, and preparation of Operating Rooms prior to each surgical procedure
