About The Position

Anesthesia Technician at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This is a Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Variable Shift position. Schedule: This position is scheduled to work five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday. Work hours are based on departmental operational needs and may include the following shifts: 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m. Employees should expect to rotate between shifts approximately every three (3) months, although shift assignments and rotation schedules may be adjusted based on departmental staffing and operational requirements. Flexibility to work any of the listed shifts is required. Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a registered perioperative nurse. The anesthesia technician supports the anesthesia providers by the preparation and set up of appropriate equipment and supplies for each surgical case. This includes connecting monitoring lines, preparing infusion sets, and operating all common physiological monitors. The incumbent must be able to apply several specialized tests. May provide limited patient care as needed by assisting with prepping and opening supplies before surgery. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room or as an Anesthesia Technician.
  • Completion of Anesthesia Technology Degree can substitute for 2 years of experience
