About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for assisting medical staff and planning, securing, and arranging the necessary equipment and supplies for anesthesia needs in the operating room. Daily assignments may include but are not limited to: Performs lab test, report findings, and maintain required documentation. Accompany patient during transport/transfer as needed. Stocks, cleans, and ensures set-up of medications, supplies, and equipment used daily by anesthesia staff. Prepares suction equipment, IV solutions, and pressure bangs prior to each patient’s arrival. Maintains anesthesiology lab and necessary supplies. Assist medical staff and residents as requested. All other assigned duties related to Anesthesia.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of basic pharmacology, sterile processing, basic ECG and arterial monitoring
Basic Life Skills Certification (BLS)
Knowledge of basic pharmacology, sterile processing, basic ECG, arterial monitoring, blood gas electrolyte analyzer, anesthesia equipment
Understanding of basic anatomy and physiology of the body
Effective communicator; Must read, write, and speak English
Should be able to work flexible schedule and be “on call” when needed
