About The Position

Join the anesthesia team at Lakewood Medical Center as an Anesthesia Technician, supporting safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. The role partners with anesthesia providers and clinical teams to ensure equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedure areas are ready when needed. It provides technical and clinical support across anesthesia services, the GI Clinic, the recovery area, and the obstetric unit. Duties include equipment calibration and troubleshooting, endoscope reprocessing, infection prevention, documentation, and administrative support. The position requires adaptability and attention to detail in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer, typing, and keyboarding skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment, instruments, supplies, and procedure areas.
• Perform daily equipment calibrations, troubleshoot issues, and educate staff on equipment use.
• Clean, process, and document high-level disinfection of flexible endoscopes according to established protocols.
• Provide support across designated clinical areas while responding to changing patient care and departmental needs.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with billing, reporting, and other departmental duties.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and teamwork.
