Anesthesia Technician
About The Position
Orlando Orthopaedic Outpatient Surgery Center is hiring an Anesthesia Technician. Established in 2010, the center is a multispecialty orthopaedic surgery center focused on helping patients return to their activities as quickly as possible. The Anesthesia Technician assists the anesthesiologist and circulating nurse with anesthesia administration and ensures adequate supplies are available. The position also supports anesthesia providers in the operating room, responds to emergencies, maintains anesthesia equipment and carts, assists other departments as needed, and helps position patients for surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist anesthesia providers in the operating room with airway management and IVs.
- Respond to and assist with emergencies, including emergencies in other departments.
- Order, stock, and maintain anesthesia supplies.
- Maintain anesthesia machines, crash carts, and malignant hyperthermia carts daily.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
- Assist with positioning patients for surgical procedures.
