Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Understanding of medical terminology.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Experience working in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Handles staffing needs regarding anesthesia gas machines and monitoring equipment and non-controlled medications.
Stocks the anesthesia workroom, anesthesia carts, non-controlled medications, and anesthesia supply closets.
Prepares IVs, invasive lines, and sets up rooms.
Assists with room turnovers, collection of used equipment, cleaning of equipment, and restocking.
Checks for cleanliness of anesthesia equipment and cleans as necessary.
Collects used/dirty equipment and discards disposables prior to the completion of day.
Distributes equipment to the appropriate area for decontamination and sterilization.
Monitors inventory of equipment and ensures equipment is returned to the OR after transport of the patient.
Assists with the tracking of equipment used in offsite procedures to reduce equipment loss.
