About The Position

Stocks anesthesia supplies, provides assistance to Anesthesiologists, and assists with room turnover. Promotes and maintains a safe work environment for staff as well as customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.

Requirements

• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year Experience in acute care setting
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP)

Responsibilities

• Prepares, gathers, and cleans equipment and supplies needed to administer anesthesia to patients prior to surgery.
• Provides assistance to the Anesthesiologist.
• Ensures availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes.
• Maintains clean, safe, and orderly work/patient environment by cleaning work stations/areas, equipment; stocking supplies; placing equipment in proper storage areas.
• Establishes an environment of safety and assures safe practice for the patient as evidenced by recognizing and implementing accrediting body Patient Safety Goals and Quality Standards.
• Follows RHS policies and procedures and complying with regulatory agency requirements.
• Recognizes emergency situations and responds competently.
• Assists with room turnover.
