About The Position

Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation and application of the equipment and supplies required for the administration of anesthesia. Contributes to safe, efficient, and cost-effective anesthesia care. Provides support to anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases. Prepares and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or Equivalent on the job training.
• Required to complete six (6) hours of hospital provided continuing education upon hire and annually for Advanced Sterile Processing Certification.
• Education will focus on the standards of practice in instrument decontamination, transportation, and reprocessing.
• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear.
• Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.
• Must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.

Responsibilities

• Completes routing duties in a timely manner.
• Performs duties under the direct supervision of a licensed anesthesia provider and/or Registered Nurse.
• Prepares and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
