About The Position

The Anesthesia Tech performs tasks related to reprocessing reusable anesthesia supplies and equipment and managing inventory for reprocessed and single-use anesthesia equipment and supplies. The role supports Children’s Hospitals and Clinics’ mission of caring for and treating patients while following established customer service, family-centered care, resource-utilization, and infection-control standards. Duties include anesthesia case turnover, terminal cleaning of anesthesia carts and machines, and preparing anesthesia and surgical supplies and equipment for cases. The position may provide vacation coverage for the OR Core when necessary.

Requirements

• One year of anesthesia aide/tech experience or SPD experience.

Responsibilities

• Reprocess reusable anesthesia supplies and equipment.
• Manage inventory of reprocessed and single-use anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Support patient care while following customer service, family-centered care, resource-utilization, and infection-control standards.
• Perform anesthesia case turnover.
• Terminally clean anesthesia carts and machines.
• Prepare anesthesia and surgical supplies and equipment for cases.
• Provide vacation coverage for OR Core if necessary.
