This position assists the anesthesia team prior to, during, and following patient procedures in the Inpatient Operating Room and all off-site locations. The Anesthesia Technician is responsible for checking and supplying anesthesia carts and machines, replacing anesthesia gas tanks, disassembling used anesthesia equipment, disinfecting machines and supply carts, replacing used products, and preparing transducers for invasive hemodynamic monitoring. The role also involves assisting with the preparation of anesthesia supplies both preoperatively and postoperatively by cleaning, maintaining, packaging, ordering, and inventorying anesthesia supplies. The technician is expected to demonstrate trust, respect, honesty, and caring attitudes with patients/families and other members of the healthcare team.
