About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician focuses on cleaning and maintaining equipment during surgery process and the operating room for each procedure as directed.

Responsibilities

• Checks equipment and supplies at the beginning of shift according to department policies and procedures.
• Ensures that proper equipment and supplies are available and present for procedure according to department policies and procedures.
• Cleans and restocks anesthesia carts and helps protect and maintain anesthesia and anesthesia-related equipment according to department policies and procedures.
• Cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes anesthesia equipment including but not limited to laryngoscope blades, Magill forceps, light wands, flexible fiber-optic bronchoscopes Doppler probes, tub benders, and bullard.
• Assists physician in preparing patient for induction and emergency procedure according to department policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
