About The Position
The Anesthesia Technician facilitates Perioperative patient care by assisting with clinical anesthesia activities under the direction and collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Anesthesiologist. This role involves providing supplies, equipment, and assistance during anesthetic procedures to ensure the safe delivery of anesthetic patient care.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- BLS certification required
Nice To Haves
- Courses in anatomy/physiology and basic chemistry at college level preferred
- One year of Operating room experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Facilitate Perioperative patient care by assisting with clinical anesthesia activities under the direction and collaboration with the Registered Nurse and Anesthesiologist
- Provide supplies, equipment and assistance during anesthetic procedures in order to provide safe delivery of anesthetic patient care
- Perform the Preoperative FDA anesthesia machine checkouts
- Troubleshoot anesthesia equipment
- Start patient intravenous lines
- Operate the intraoperative antilogous blood recovery system
- Operate the three-dimensional image-guidance system
