About The Position

The Anesthesia Registration Supervisor – RCM provides staff supervision and support to team leads and associates. The role compiles and produces daily, weekly, and monthly reports to management as requested. At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years revenue cycle management or customer service experience in medical billing and collection required.
  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
  • Must have strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have a pleasant disposition and high tolerance level for diverse views and opinions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to motivate diverse personalities within the departments.
  • Communicate well with the public.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in medical billing and collections preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in health or business administration preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience in a health care organization is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles reports and develops spreadsheets to assist in researching and analyzing trends.
  • Regularly tracks and monitors productivity and accuracy of staff members. Works with team leads to ensure ongoing follow-up and communication with each employee occurs to keep them aware of the standard performance expectations (audit process). Maintains reports with daily, weekly, monthly, and YTD data. Incorporates data into the annual performance review process and quarterly bonus calculations.
  • Monitors queues in the practice management and phone systems, work in conjunction with team leads to provide ongoing staff supervision and training.
  • Provides training and on-going education for all staff members as well as assists with annual reviews.
  • Works with the Sr Director on recruiting issues and interviews of prospective employees.
  • Encourages employees to improve their skills and to expand their expertise.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with a high level of accuracy.
  • Identifies and helps develop strategies to resolve problems impacting an efficient revenue cycle and complex patient billing issues.
  • Enforces company policies as well as rules and guidelines of the department.
  • Monitors staff attendance and provides counseling as appropriate.
  • Resolves personnel issues in conjunction with team leads, the Sr Director, and Human Resources.
  • Responds to patient, physician, and interdepartmental concerns in a timely manner or on the same day, whenever possible.
  • Acts as an effective liaison with management and line staff in other departments as needed to address problem areas and assists with resolution.
  • Maintains OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
  • Delegates work/email duties as necessary to stay current with priority tasks.
  • Maintains strictest confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
