About The Position

Join a collaborative and dynamic team bridging research and care through engaging, personalized, data-driven experiences. The Android Software Engineer will develop and enhance a patient-facing Android app, building intuitive interfaces that help users manage their health and participate in clinical research. The role works with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver adaptive solutions that support user engagement. This is a contract-to-hire role based in Boston, Massachusetts, with a hybrid work arrangement. The listed contract period is October 31, 2026, through April 16, 2027. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Pay is listed at USD $75–$100 per hour on W-2, based on experience. The position is offered through IntelliPro.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical software development experience.
Expected professional software engineering experience: 3–4 years for intermediate level or 5+ years for senior level.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering software through effective collaboration in a cross-functional team environment.
Proficiency with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android SDK.
Familiarity with Git for version control, including committing and pushing, working with branches, merging and resolving conflicts, and collaborating using GitHub.
Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, APIs, and testing.
Strong English speaking and writing skills for technical communication and design.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain app features using Kotlin and modern development practices.
Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to translate requirements into engaging, adaptive, robust solutions.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, share knowledge, and uphold team development practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
