About The Position

Paragon Prep Preschool is seeking an Ancillary & Enrichment Teacher to develop and lead engaging supplemental programs for preschool-aged children. You will introduce students to new interests and experiences through developmentally appropriate activities, promote ancillary offerings to families, and help increase student participation. The ideal candidate is an energetic, creative, and highly organized educator who enjoys working across multiple age groups and can transform ideas into well-structured programs. You will also provide classroom coverage and support as needed throughout the school day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working with children required; preschool or early childhood experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to meet all applicable childcare licensing, background-check, fingerprinting, CPR and First Aid, and professional-development requirements.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical responsibilities associated with working in an early childhood environment.
  • Ability to work in person at the school campus.

Nice To Haves

  • Early Childhood Education coursework, a Child Development Associate credential, an associate degree, a bachelor’s degree, or comparable experience preferred.
  • Experience leading enrichment programs, extracurricular activities, camps, athletics, STEAM, music, art, movement, or similar programming is a plus.
  • Demonstrated creativity and the ability to independently develop and implement new programs.
  • An energetic, engaging presence and the confidence to lead groups of young children and promote programs to families.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple programs, schedules, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead engaging, hands-on enrichment programs aligned with student interests, family needs, seasonal opportunities, and school goals.
  • Create lesson plans, schedules, activities, and materials appropriate for different preschool age groups and developmental levels.
  • Manage assigned programs from concept through implementation, including promotion, enrollment, instruction, family communication, and evaluation.
  • Visit classrooms regularly to provide enrichment experiences, introduce upcoming programs, and encourage student participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers to complement classroom themes and introduce students to new skills, interests, and experiences.
  • Partner with school leadership to promote programs and develop creative family communication and enrollment strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with families and confidently answer questions about available programs.
  • Monitor enrollment, participation, and feedback to improve program quality and support established growth goals.
  • Assist with camps, school celebrations, themed activities, special events, and other programming throughout the year.
  • Provide classroom coverage during teacher breaks, lunches, meetings, planning periods, staffing changes, and other periods of need.
  • Maintain established classroom routines, behavior expectations, active supervision, and accurate name-to-face accountability.
  • Organize and maintain program spaces, materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support a collaborative school environment by remaining flexible and assisting wherever needed.
