About The Position

Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist providing inpatient and outpatient clinical and call coverage in Fargo, North Dakota. The coverage period is January 1, 2027, through April 1, 2027. The position covers surgical pathology, frozen sections, fine needle aspirations (FNAs), gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology, and onsite evaluations for EBUS, CT-guided, and ultrasound-guided biopsies. The role participates in an on-call schedule using beeper call; the call ratio varies, with a 20-minute response time. Support staff are available. The coverage is due to a vacancy while the facility conducts a long-term permanent search.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible (BC/BE).
• Active North Dakota license or willingness to obtain one.
• Required procedures and experience include surgical pathology, cytology, gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology, performing FNAs, and grossing or cutting frozen sections.

Nice To Haves

• Fellowship preferred.
• Hematology preferred.
• Microbiology preferred.
• Chemistry/Serology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical pathology and frozen section evaluations.
• Conduct fine needle aspirations (FNAs).
• Interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens.
• Provide onsite evaluations for EBUS, CT-guided, and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
• Participate in the on-call schedule for pathology coverage.
