About The Position

Invictus is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join on a full-time basis in Tampa, Florida. This role is responsible for designing, building, and delivering end-to-end analytics solutions across a modern data platform using Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will span data engineering, analytics engineering, and business intelligence, translating business requirements into scalable data models, production-grade pipelines, semantic layers, and executive level dashboards. This is a high visibility hybrid role supporting complex financial services operations, requiring strong technical depth, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to deliver business-ready analytics solutions that drive decision making across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience delivering data engineering, analytics engineering, or business intelligence solutions
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting architecture, consulting, or end-to-end solution delivery
  • Financial services experience required, preferably within banking, credit unions, lending, or consumer financial services
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Snowflake, dbt, and Power BI in enterprise environments
  • Advanced SQL skills with strong knowledge of performance tuning, data warehouse design, and dimensional modeling
  • Strong experience with Power BI including semantic modeling, DAX, Power Query, governance, and security frameworks
  • Experience building and supporting production-grade ELT pipelines and reporting solutions
  • Strong understanding of Kimball methodology, semantic layers, KPI design, and business-ready analytics models
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with financial services core systems, lending platforms, ALM, GL, or related financial data environments
  • Experience with data movement platforms such as Fivetran, Estuary, or similar ingestion tools
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or cloud-native scheduling platforms
  • Python experience for ELT utilities, automation, or testing
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps or GitHub
  • Familiarity with metrics layers, SSAS Tabular, or Power BI migration initiatives
  • Strong understanding of RBAC, workload separation, and enterprise governance practices

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end analytics delivery from discovery through go-live, translating business needs into scalable data models, dashboards, KPIs, and reporting solutions
  • Conduct design workshops, define acceptance criteria, and support release planning focused on measurable business outcomes
  • Architect and implement ELT pipelines across Snowflake using layered architecture including landing, bronze, silver, and gold environments
  • Develop and maintain dbt models with testing, lineage, CI/CD, and modular design standards
  • Design and optimize Power BI semantic models using star schema design, DAX, Power Query, row-level security, object-level security, and performance optimization strategies
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and reusable reporting components aligned to governance and UI/UX standards
  • Manage Power BI Service artifacts including workspaces, deployment pipelines, refresh strategies, and access controls
  • Support automation of Snowflake provisioning and governance using infrastructure and deployment best practices
  • Implement data quality checks, monitoring, alerting, and documentation including runbooks and data dictionaries
  • Partner with business stakeholders, analysts, and leadership teams to define reporting requirements and improve data accessibility across the organization
  • Deliver enablement sessions and coach analysts and power users on reporting standards and best practices
  • Work within Agile teams using JIRA and participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
