About The Position

The Analytics Engineer Intern will join Workday’s Enterprise Data and Analytics (ED&A) team, launched in 2024 to transform and optimize how Workday creates and shares trusted data for actionable insights and data-led innovation. Under the direct guidance of senior engineering leaders, the intern will contribute to the data transformation lifecycle by converting raw data ingestion streams into structured, reliable assets for downstream business intelligence. Work includes writing clean, modular dbt code within repository controls, logging schema updates, and creating discoverable data views. The role also develops foundational data literacy, team collaboration, and understanding of how data informs business metrics. The intern will participate in squad rituals, work with peers to turn execution requests into actionable tasks, and learn to navigate Workday enterprise systems. The intern is expected to adopt workspace AI productivity tools, including Sana and Gemini, to reduce routine reporting friction, automate standard documentation, and improve delivery capacity. The internship is a full-time, in-person, 12-week program for Summer 2027. Interns participate in Workday’s Early Career Programs, including applied learning, personalized coaching, connection events, and the Product & Technology Atmosphere program, which offers tailored technical training and exposure to the Workday ecosystem and P&T leaders and peers.
