Analytics Consulting Manager
About The Position
The Analytics Consulting Manager is a manager within the Argus Advisory Team, leading the development and delivery of complex analytics projects that support strategic decision-making for Financial Services clients. The role manages a team of analysts, oversees project execution, provides analytical guidance, and ensures high-quality insights and recommendations. It reports to the Vice President of Business Operations - Argus Advisory. This is a hybrid position requiring regular work virtually and in person at an assigned TransUnion office for a minimum of two days per week. The manager leads analysts and projects, provides expertise on large data sets and advanced analytics, and applies Financial Services knowledge to business questions across areas including Cards, Retail Banking, Lending, and Small Business.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in banking, analytics, consulting, or a related quantitative discipline, with increasing responsibility leading analytical projects.
- Ability to lead complex analytical initiatives and guide teams in developing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing analysts while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear business implications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of Financial Services, including Cards, Retail Banking, Lending, and Small Business.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency, attention to detail, and a focus on quality.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States full time without employer support or sponsorship now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of analysts, fostering engagement, collaboration, technical growth, and professional development.
- Manage complex analytical projects from inception through completion, ensuring high-quality outputs, actionable insights, and adherence to timelines.
- Provide analytical leadership and subject matter expertise on large data sets, advanced analytics, and strategic business questions for Financial Services clients.
- Coach and mentor analysts on analytical methodologies, storytelling, presentation development, and problem-solving.
- Partner with senior leaders and consulting teams to translate business objectives into analytical frameworks, recommendations, and client-ready deliverables.
- Apply Financial Services knowledge to identify trends, solve business challenges, and generate insights.
- Establish analytical best practices, quality-control standards, and efficient project-management processes.
- Lead multiple concurrent projects and priorities while ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and delivery excellence.
