About The Position

Syneos Health is seeking an Analytical Scientist - Ligand Binding to perform activities related to processing and analyzing biological samples in a laboratory. The role includes documenting sample-analysis activities, initiating analytical runs with appropriate instruments and software, following up on results, and helping resolve bioanalytical issues. The scientist also supports laboratory users and helps manage chemical and biological waste and clean laboratory equipment and instruments. All work must comply with applicable corporate and divisional policies, standard operating procedures, and operating guidelines. Other duties may be assigned by management. Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education may be considered.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or college degree in science, or acceptable alternate certification.
• Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and analytical software.
• Basic understanding of analytical chemistry requirements.
• For Quebec, bilingual English ability sufficient to understand simple messages and follow basic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Process and analyze biological samples.
• Document sample-analysis activities and assist in verifying documents.
• Initiate analysis runs using appropriate instruments and software.
• Follow up on result analysis and assist in finding solutions to bioanalytical issues.
• Assist with disposal of chemical and biological waste generated by laboratory employees and help clean laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Perform support tasks to meet the needs of laboratory users.
• Perform activities in compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies, standard operating procedures, and operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
