This role is for an Analytical Chemist at the Analyst level.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Chemistry with good understanding of theory and related techniques and related operations is required.
  • Experience with MS 365 (e.g., Word, Excel) and basic computer systems
  • Knowledge with sample preparation and data interpretation.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of industrial experience preferred but not required
  • Direct experience with chromatography techniques (e.g., GC/FID, GC/MS, HPLC/UV) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on laboratory work with limited supervision
  • Interpret analytical data from a variety of techniques (including FT-IR, NMR, GC-MS and/or LC-MS)
  • Write basic reports which includes methodology, conclusions and supporting analytical data
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment under firm deadlines
  • Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Office (Including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
  • Maintain analytical instrumentation and troubleshoot problems when necessary
  • Author standard operating procedures and demonstrate the ability to follow procedures
  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment
