About The Position

The Analytical Chemist tests the chemical components of inks, dyes, and coatings. He or she analyzes and documents these components’ effects on properties such as color, rheology, abrasion, durability, viscosity, etc. The incumbent will also perform testing of the components that are used in adhesives, refractory, batteries, plastics, and other products. Assists Quality Manager with administrative functions and ensuring proper training and utilization of laboratory technicians.

Requirements

• Proficiency in English.
• Ability to write reports, memoranda, and other technical documents.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other physical science.
• Two years of coatings or printing/ink lab experience in an industrial chemical laboratory.
• Extensive knowledge of coatings and/or printing systems formulations, applications, pigment grinding process, and standard tests done in the coatings and printing industries.
