This position works a weekend shift (Friday through Sunday) and offers the benefit of working 36 hours while being paid for 40.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a BS in chemistry/biology/engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with validations, samples and testing on productions
  • Data analysis and report writing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Utilize the GC, IR, HPLC, as well as other instrumentation, on a daily basis
  • Help develop new test methodologies

Responsibilities

  • Test all raw materials according to established protocols; notifying appropriate parties when tests do not meet required specifications
  • Test all in-process batches according to established protocols; notifying appropriate parties when tests do not meet required specifications
  • Assist in providing recommendations to salvage in-process batches that do not meet specifications
  • Work to continually improve testing methodologies and documentation, ensuring the most appropriate and thorough methods are applied
  • Utilize required instrumentation to complete required tasks
  • Perform periodic calibration of instrumentations (as trained and required) to ensure the most accurate readings
  • Collaborate with other departments to find solutions to problems
  • Performs other duties as assigned
